GOD SOVEREIGNLY RULES AND ORCHESTRATES HIS CREATION

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. – Colossians 1:17 –
Sovereignty is supreme, absolute power and authority. God is sovereign over all His creation. He is the ultimate ruler over the entire universe. All things are under His control. He has always been and always will be. He is from everlasting to everlasting.
God spoke the world into existence. As Creator, He is greater that His creation. He perfectly rules over His creation. All created beings yield to His unparalleled dominion. He breathes life into every living creature. He is our Creator. In Him, we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28).
All beings in heaven and earth and under the earth recognize God’s omnipotence. No one has jurisdiction over Him. With a word, He can wield His almighty power. Satan and his evil spirits are subject to God for they are His creations, albeit rebellious ones.
God the Father has exalted Christ to the highest place, giving Him the name that is above all names. One day, all will bow in reverence and worship before Him (Philippians 2:9-10). Even the enemy and his pawns accept the truth that God is the One in authority (Mark 1:24). Yet the time has not come where they have to bow to Him. When Christ returns with all power and majesty, evil will meet its fate.
The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all. – Psalm 103:19
Our sovereign God is in absolute control… unmatched, unrivaled, transcendent. He is perfect in all His works. His wise purposes and creative will stand behind everything He does. No person, no creature, no detail is lost to Him. Nothing in all creation can overrule the sovereignty of God.
Imagine God as Conductor of a beautiful symphony. The symphony is His creation. He has lovingly composed a masterpiece. He has written the music for each of the individual instruments. Each player plays their part and looks to Him for direction.
We are all musicians in God’s divine orchestra. He has composed a part for each of us to play… a part unique to our inherent talents. We follow His lead and allow Him to orchestrate our lives according to His infinite wisdom.
We may wonder why the music at times sounds out of key… leading the symphony into disharmony. Yet the Conductor is the Divine Maestro. We hear the music only from our perspective. He hears each of the instruments individually and will bring all into perfect harmony.
God has created a magnum opus – the greatest of musical works. We place our trust in Him, for He is the symphony’s Creator. We have faith in Him to masterfully lead His orchestra through a stellar performance and a glorious finale.
The Lord Almighty has sworn, ‘Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen.’ – Isaiah 14:24
When all things appear out of control, we can rest in the knowledge that God is in control. When life seems “out of key”, we remember that He is orchestrating behind the scenes to bring about His perfect will and divine purpose.
This is a certainty in our lives – God is sovereign. He exists eternally and wields infinite power. We can rest in the absolute truth of God and His nature. He is constant… ever faithful… never changing. In Him, we find everlasting peace.
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. – Isaiah 55:9
We may not always understand God’s ways. His ways are infinitely higher than ours. He sees all from His timeless, eternal perspective. Yet we can always trust His heart. He has complete power over evil and total goodness toward us, His children. Ultimate victory rests with our God and those who believe and abide in Him.
