SPRINGTIME IS A REMINDER OF OUR RESURRECTION TO NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

“God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars.” – Martin Luther –
The handiwork of God is displayed in His creation. God spoke the universe into existence. Everything was formed according to His sovereign design. He paints the beauty of nature from the infinite colors and hues of His palette. He breathes life into every living creature.
Everywhere we look in nature we see God’s awesome majesty. Whether it’s a stroll on the beach… a hike in the mountains… a walk through the forest… we recognize His omnipresence. Our hearts are stirred and our souls find peace. We revere, praise and worship not the creation, but the Creator Himself.
“Yet He has not left Himself without testimony.” – Acts 14:17
All creation is a testimony of the existence of God. Its complex balance and harmony bears witness to His perfection. Its beauty and intricacy are a testament to His glory. Every person on earth sees the revelation of God in His created world. There are no barriers for all of mankind to see His omnipotent presence.
“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that humans are without excuse.” – Romans 1:20
God reveals Himself for all to see so that we will not miss Him. His heart is that none should perish but all have eternal life (2 Peter 3:9). His love reaches out to all humanity. God desires that we seek to discover who He is. He wants everyone everywhere to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone but in every leaf of springtime.” – Martin Luther
We see springtime as a time of rebirth. All creation is blooming with new growth and new life. We are reminded of the resurrection of Jesus who paved the way for all believers to be raised to new life in Him. God reveals the promise of our resurrection to eternal life in His created world. He wants us to forever remember the hope we have that can only be found in Him. What a loving God!
