JESUS IS OUR GUIDE AS WE JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE

The Christian experience, from start to finish, is a journey of faith. – Watchman Nee, Missionary –
We are all on a journey, our Christian journey. As all journeys go, there are twists and turns along the road… obstacles… roadblocks… and even dead ends. We learn to navigate our way through life having faith in our own compass as our guide. Until we meet the Navigator… our Guide for life. That is when our journey of faith begins.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Jesus calls us to abundant life in Him… if we let Him lead the way. It is a journey of trust… a trust not in what is visible, but in what is invisible, seeing with eyes of faith. A trust in the promises of God and His Word. The journey is one of excitement, challenges and eternal rewards.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. – Galatians 2:20
Believers are transformed at salvation to become new created beings in Christ. His indwelling presence by His Spirit guides, empowers and protects us on our journey. This new life of faith is lived out with the love of the One who sacrificed His life for us.
For I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11
God’s plan for each of us is unique. He created us with His wise plan in mind… His perfect will. He sovereignly leads us down His path, offering His care and protection along the way… and blessing us in His abundance. Our God offers us hope in a world where it is so rare to find… and promises a future of everlasting life in His holy presence.
In Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. – John 16:33
A life of faith is not without trials. We were never promised that. In a fallen world, there will be trouble. Yet the One who directs our lives is victorious over this world. He gives us His peace in times of trial. We can rest in the knowledge that no matter what lies ahead on our journey of faith… Jesus has walked this way before us.
