IN THE PAGES OF SCRIPTURE, WE MEET OUR HEAVENLY FATHER
“Lord, speak to me… guide me… direct my path.”
How often have we prayed prayers like this? Do we long to hear from our Heavenly Father? The Lover of our souls longs to speak to us… yet perhaps we’re just not listening for His voice.
“In the Bible God speaks to us; in prayer we speak to God. Both are essential.” – Billy Graham
God will speak to us in many ways… yet He chooses His Word first and foremost to be His speaking platform. We meet Him there, in the pages of Scripture, where He reveals His thoughts, His wisdom and His guidance for our lives. We are transformed… quietly and gradually… into His likeness.
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”– 2 Corinthians 3:18
Time in God’s Word… His letter of love to humanity… is key to hearing His voice.
